Car wing mirrors have come a long way since the days of winding down your window to adjust them; continuous innovations in this area have meant they have become more and more powerful as the years have gone on. Unfortunately a by-product of this is that they can cost a fortune to replace if they are broken.

Control Wires: one of the first innovations to come to car wing mirrors was the introduction of control wires which allowed you to adjust the mirrors from inside the car using little pins on the inside of the door. However, as drivers could not reach the passenger side mirror to adjust them this did not solve the problem completely. Electrics were introduced to allow the driver to adjust both mirrors from the driver’s side control panel.

Heated Car Wing Mirrors: as car wing mirrors were already drawing power to be able to power the motors it was a small step to add heating elements to the glass to keep them clear and free of moisture and ice. As well as being an important feature for safety this also saves the driver from having to clear these themselves.

Indicator Lights: many car wing mirrors also feature indicator lights which helps give other drivers on the road a better idea of the cars intentions to move and make it much more visible, which is always a good thing.

Heads up Displays: there are currently a number of advancements in development, one of which being the use of a HUD, or heads up display to be projected onto the mirrors.

This would use a computer program to make lines more visible and give you a warning of when cars behind are approaching to undertake and when they are at a safe distance to pull over.

Are you going on an important personal or business trip? Want to drive there, but don’t want to rack up the mileage and put more wear and tear on the family car? Then at this very moment, you are probably worrying about the cost of renting a car. But you don’t need to worry, there are many ways you can save money on car rentals.

Decide what size vehicle you really need. If you are traveling on your own, there’s a good chance that you can get away with renting a subcompact car for your trip. That’s generally the most cost-efficient way to go because the rental and the gas will be cheaper. However, if you will be traveling with a family or co-workers, comfort will be of importance so you will most likely want to upgrade to a mid-size car that can handle the demands of your passengers and ensure a safe comfortable ride to your destination.

Get quotes and ask about specials. Before you decide from what company you plan to rent the car from, get out your local yellow page listings or get online to find the best deals. Then locate a phone number and make a telephone call to get price quotes. Oftentimes, if you explain the reason for your trip and that you are calling around to other companies for quotes, each company will try to under-quote their competitors in order to get your business. Customer service agents do their best to get you to rent from them so be sure and take advantage of this by speaking with a live person first.

Ask if the rental club checks driving records. Many consumers do not know this, but when you give the rental company a copy of your driver’s license and sign the rental agreement and release, you are giving the rental company the right to check your driving record through the DMV. Many rental companies can increase the rental price or refuse to rent you a vehicle if you have multiple tickets or accidents appearing on your driving record. So be sure to ask about this before signing anything.

Learn more about hidden fees and extra insurance. When renting a vehicle from a car rental company, they each will assess small fees to increase the rental rate. Fees like vehicle refueling charges, cleaning fees, late return fees, and extra insurance can really rack up. In many cases, if you have your own insurance policy for your own cars, your insurance carrier will cover your rental vehicle for no additional cost to you for liability and collision. You do not have to purchase the additional insurance that car rental companies sell- these policies are often grossly over-inflated and useless.

Check with your company for corporate rates. If you are traveling for business purposes, the best thing to do is check with your corporate travel or human resource department to see if your company is eligible for any corporate rates with rental companies. Oftentimes, they will be able to provide you with a special code to use or a contact that will allow you to rent a car for a reduced price. You can hold onto this code and use it later for personal use if you wish and save even more.

Like people with other hobbies, many car aficionados would love the opportunity to get together with others who enjoy the same interest that they do. And, in the age of the Internet, forming a classic car club is easier than ever. In fact, starting a club today is a lot easier than starting any kind of club would have been twenty, thirty, or even five years ago. But, first, you have to decide what type of classic car club you would like to form. There are many forums, discussion boards, and the like where people who love classic cars already congregate. So, before you start a club, you first might want to search the Internet to see if one or more clubs of your liking, already exist. If not, then there are a few basic steps that you can take to get started.

Undoubtedly, the easiest way to start your new club is to take advantage of social media. For example, using a platform such as Facebook or Yahoo Groups, you can actually have a club up and running within a day. However, if you choose to use social media, the growth and rules of your club will be largely determined by the rules of the particular social media platform on which you create it. Therefore, if you want to completely set your own rules for membership and operation, the best advice is to start your own classic car club website.

The basics are simple. First, choose a domain name that you like and register it. If you want your club to be local, then append your locale to the name. Next, find an inexpensive but reliable web hosting company to host your website. And, lastly, choose one of the many free content management or membership management software platforms to publish your membership site on. If you are technically challenged, you should have no problem finding a student in your area to help you get your site up and running. Once your site is up, your biggest challenge will be figuring out a way to promote your web site so that people are aware of it. Once people become aware of your site, however, you can look forward to having years of enjoyment with your new community of friends.

Nowadays there are plenty of options available to those looking to buy a car, but with the busy schedules that most of us have and only a limited amount of time, prospective buyers face a number of challenges, often having no real chance to thoroughly inspect the vehicle in order to make a judicious choice. However, one option exists today that can help to ease those difficulties, and this is all thanks to the rise of computer and internet technology. By doing a simple search on the internet, prospective buyers will be able to find and benefit from the great selection of cars available of all makes and price ranges. One such site that has a full database of thousands of different cars up for bidding is Car-Auction. Individuals may also find their dream car being sold at government auctions, or even surplus auctions.

Online auctions are now a thriving business on the web. In today’s world of computers and globalization, anyone can participate in an auction while comfortably sitting at home, in the office or even at the library. Online auction sites now provide a user friendly interface and safe alternative in the process of purchasing one’s dream car. Prospective buyers can place their bid online in real time, all the while browsing through other catalogs and lists of cars. Online auction sites are useful because they save time, and there is no need to be physically present at a particular place in order to place a bid. Most wealthy people who are keen to buy top sports cars and luxury vehicles often use online auction sites to get the car they want.

Buyers Automotive has created the Online Auto Auctions website which offers quality pre-owned cars and vehicles along with some highly sought after and specialist types of vehicles. Regular updates are being done on the site, and its interface is user friendly. Registration is free and Online Auto Auctions offers 24×7 customer support and service to their users.

Another added feature of Online Auto Auctions is its ability to host inter-state auto auctions. Users can also specify their bidding amount in advance for an auction while maintaining their security and authenticity. The process is simple, and the user simply needs to log into the site, browse the online catalog for the auction and then set up a proxy bid.

A proxy bid database records and stores all the proxy bids that have been placed for a particular item. The bidder will then be notified by the system via email if another bidder has outbid him.

In the past, dealers of new and used cars had to put an advertisement in the newspaper, or distribute flyers or catalogs announcing the vehicles to be sold. Today, the ease of publishing that the internet has allowed has changed each and every aspect of advertising a product. All information about an event or a product is but a mouse click away. This, in turn, has saved millions of people time and money.

Ken Auto Trading is a Japanese used car agency specialized to offer car export and auto auction services at affordable price. They provide high quality Japanese used vehicles, low cost, wide selection for Japanese Used vehicles, quick response, fast shipping arrangement. For more information. please visit their site at Ken-Auto-Trading.net.

In real estate, an “arm’s length” transaction is defined as one in which “the seller is under no undue pressure to sell, and the buyer is under no undue pressure to buy.” In the free market, this is how “fair” prices are arranged. Imagine if you found out at 8 pm today that you absolutely have come up with $8000 by tomorrow morning at 10 am, and selling your car is the only way you can do it. Talk about pressure! Do you think you will get a fair price?

Many people put themselves in a very similar situation when they decide to buy a new car. They swing by a dealership on impulse, fall in love with the little red convertible and make an offer on it two hours later. And in the process they become a seller under undue pressure… avoidable pressure that they put on themselves. This, my friend, is a crying shame.

The only way to get the most you can, when you sell your car, is to give yourself TIME, and a lot of it. As a former salesman, I have seen first hand, over and over, that impulse buying is a KILLER! The salesman knows you have no time to gather facts and find out what your car is really worth. He also knows that he has little to no incentive to give you a good deal on your new little toy. Double Whammy!

I do understand that we all get caught up in the moment at times, but please, before you sign anything, step back and evaluate the situation. Ask yourself, am I under pressure? If you are, go home and sleep on it. In my mind, if the salesman won’t respect that, he doesn’t deserve your business.

In almost every case, the dealer will be happy to take a deposit and hold the vehicle for you (Never give them cash for a deposit and be sure it’s refundable!) for up to a week, sometimes longer. Time enough to be sure you really love that car you’re looking at, and time enough to sell your car yourself for plenty more than what the dealer will give you.

Yes, they can say no and you want to sell the car as soon as you walk out, but it’s worth an average $ 2,500 more it will cost you? Go ahead and buy it immediately, if you think it is OK.

Yes, you can sell your own car, and reap the financial benefits, and it’s not nearly as hard as some folks think. This is a job that once you get your base established, like the research, you will have to only spend a handful of hours a week working on selling used cars for profit, and obviously if you want to spend more you can.

It seems a lot of people are looking for some business to start at these times. With the internet as a good marketing tool, putting up a business has become a good option for many. If you have no luck in online businesses or in making money with online advertising, you can still find a lot of ways to make money. One of these is to make money buying and selling cars.

Whether you are a car enthusiasts or not, you can pursue a successful business and make money buying and selling cars. Of course, a lot of people own cars and a lot are also changing cars every now and then. If you want to take advantage of this, you can actually make a business out of this one.

Although it may cost you to get a car dealer’s license, you may not however be required of that if you at least try to sell a few cars. There is a certain number of cars that you are allowed to sell before you are to get a car dealer’s license, so you can always take advantage of this and try for yourself if the business is for you.

Of course, if you have passion in cars, it may be a little easier for you to make a good business out of buying and selling cars. With the internet as a good avenue to promote your car, you can have a good start promoting it online. Of course, you have to learn a few tips first on how you can buy a car at a good price and sell it at the best selling price as possible.

Remember that one important thing that you have to establish to be able to sell cars fast at the best price is to establish trust and credibility to your customers. Provide them with a complete vehicle history report and be honest. Buyers are also keen on cars that have already been junked or those that were previously wrecked. Even flooded cars and hot cars are also on the watch list of car buyers today, so you have to work on getting the customer’s trust by proving to them that your car is not one of them. Only then can you make money buying and selling cars. Keep in mind that a single doubt that customers may have on your car can make them not buy it.

Of course, you have to make sure that you have fixed your car before selling it back. Nobody would want to buy something that is torn and battered. Fix it if it needs repainting, or a little polishing and replace parts that may not be in good condition. You have to make sure as well that you are giving your customers satisfaction as to the cars that you are giving them as well.

Selling to a dealer is actually less stressful than selling to private individuals. This is simple because that the dealer will do most of the work. Selling to a dealer means going to as many dealership as possible. Make sure that you are aware of the trade-in value of your vehicle. Some dealers will try to make you incredibly low offers and you may get ripped off if you do not the approximate value of your car. When you visit each dealership, speak to an authoritative member of staff. Ask what their policy on the sale and trade-in of used cars is, as this changes from place to place.

Make sure that each dealership gives you an independent appraisal. The dealer will make the appraisal before agreeing to haggle on the price with you. If your car has any problems then expect low offers from the dealerships. When you sell a car, an honest opinion is very important and you should insist on it before agreeing on any sales. On your part be as honest as possible when you approach the dealer. Trying to cover up any problems with the car, which become evident during appraisal, will significantly reduce the offer you get than if you had come clean in the first place.

Do compare the prices of various dealerships. After visiting several dealers you will have a list of offers to compare and choose from. Which one best suits your needs? Ensure that all the terms that you have agreed on with the dealer are put down on paper, and then go through it carefully before you append your signature to it. Remember that once you sign the agreement, the car is sold. A word of caution; failure to disclose any problems when you sell your car can lead to the dealer voiding the sale under the laws of most states. Keep it in mind to disclose any engine or other structural problems to the dealer.
